以下是個範例，是五公斤已結紮而且有腎臟病的狗，仔細看看，你就會知道，要調配一餐是很辛苦的，萬一有一天你要外出，誰來配給牠吃呢？

This is a daily recipe for a homemade diet for an approximately 5 kilogram neutered dog with kidney disease

Amount Ingredient

200 grams cooked amount White Rice, medium grain, boiled, no salt
15 grams cooked amount Chicken Breast meat and skin, boneless, boiled
10 grams Soybean Oil
1 gram Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3)
0.25 gram Iodized salt (NaCl + iodine)
0.5 gram Potassium Chloride (KCl)
1 tablet One a Day Maximum Multivitamin/Multimineral Supplement

This daily diet supplies 376 kilocalories and weighs 227 grams

Cooking Instructions

Boil the white rice with an equal amount of water, without salt and measure to the above amount. The chicken breast with skin should be cut into thin strips and boiled to cook. The calcium carbonate should be crushed well before adding to the diet. Mix the crushed calcium, soybean oil, iodized salt and potassium chloride with the cooked rice and chicken. Please make sure that the diet is mixed well to prevent eating of the ingredients selectively. The diet can be made in batches and stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or frozen for up to one week. The multivitamin/multimineral supplement should be given with the morning meal, either by adding it to the food in a crushed form, or by giving it as a pill. Thawing and reheating the vitamin may destroy some of its ingredients and should be avoided. We recommend that you introduce this new diet slowly over 5-7 days. The diet must be made exactly as directed, as any changes may result in deficiencies or detrimental health effects. To assist with accurate measuring of the ingredients, we recommend buying a kitchen gram scale and using it for diet preparation. If your pet is gaining or losing weight on the new diet you can alter the amount being fed, while ensuring the same proportions of ingredients, to ensure that an ideal body condition is maintained.
